About Us

Tabitha nolan- Founder

As a wilderness therapist, qualified artist, and former law enforcement officer with 12 years of service, I bring a diverse range of skills and experiences to my role. My journey began in the police force, where I developed a deep understanding of human behaviour and the complexities of interpersonal dynamics. Transitioning from law enforcement to wilderness therapy, I discovered the transformative power of nature in fostering healing and personal growth.

Drawing upon my artistic background, I incorporate creativity into my therapeutic approach, using art as a medium for expression and self-discovery. Whether guiding individuals through the wilderness or facilitating artistic endeavours, my passion lies in empowering children to overcome challenges, discover their inner strength, and embark on a journey towards holistic well-being and fulfilment.

I hold a BA (hons) in Childhood Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work. I am delighted to bring over 15 years of frontline social work experience to our vibrant learning community. My journey in the field has been marked by a deep commitment to supporting children and young people who may not thrive within the traditional educational setting.

Having served as a social worker for over a decade, I’ve gained invaluable insights into the diverse needs and challenges faced by children, particularly those with SEND, SEMH concerns, and those who may not fit the expected mould.

My passion for promoting well-being led me to pursue additional training, including a certificate in Trauma informed Practice and emotional regulation work with children.

At The Haven we believe in honouring the uniqueness of each child and providing a nurturing environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. With my background in social work and a strong focus on well-being, I’m committed to empowering every student to reach their full potential
